Osler Urology
BREVARD COUNTY'S TOP UROLOGISTS
A Division of Osler Medical
Dr. Prody and Dr. Saracino of Osler Urology are renowned experts in the treatment
of all facets of male and female urinary incontinence. Dr. Prody and Dr. Saracino
both understand how incontinence problems can severely limit ones daily lifestyle.
Urinary incontinence has many potential causes and requires extensive urologic
training to properly diagnose and treat. The doctors at Osler Urology will
begin the workup and proper diagnosis of urinary incontinence with an indepth
History and Physical. A critical part of the workup includes Urodynamic testing
and Cystoscopy to assess bladder pressures and leak pressures in order to ultimately
form a proper treatment plan.
For male urinary incontinence, we are proud to be the only Urologists on the
central east coast of Florida offering an innovative minimally invasive new procedure
called the AdVance
Male Sling.
It requires only an overnight stay in the hospital and no complex moving mechanical
parts like the traditional Artificial
Urinary Sphinter (AUS). Although, if indicated,
Dr. Prody and Dr. Saracino do offer the more traditional AUS.
For female urinary incontinence, we offer a full spectrum of treatments including
non-surgical, minimally invasive, and new innovative surgical options. We are
proud to offer the latest non-surgical office based option called Renessa.
This exciting new treatment has been proven to non-surgically improve urinary
incontinence
in women without
the discomfort of a formal surgical procedure. Dr. Prody and Dr. Saracino use
the Renessa system to remodel the collagen in the urethra with Radio Frequency
(RF)
energy. You will go home without a catheter and experience a greater than 65%
improvement in your urinary incontinence episodes approximately 6 weeks after
the procedure is completed. This is a great option for women who still wish to
have children since no foreign material is inserted into the vagina like more
traditional treatments. Of course, Osler Urology offers the most up to date surgical
options for female urinary incontinence, incluing the Monarch
transobturator suburethral sling. This procedure can be performed in a surgery
center and you will go home the same day most likely without a catheter and with
minimal discomfort. The success rate rate for a suburethral sling is greater
than 80%.
